Many women have the habit of carrying a miniature world in their handbag, from keys and cosmetics to snacks and books, the weight of which falls on their shoulders—or rather, one shoulder. However, according to American Chiropractic Association research, a bag should not weigh more than 10% of one's body weight and should not be carried on one side. Juhi Kapoor, a yoga expert, highlighted this in an Instagram post, writing, "As a woman, carrying a bag on the shoulder is the most common habit." However, this severely disrupts symmetry. We don't realise how much we tighten one shoulder to keep the bag's loop from slipping. Unknowingly, we cause imbalance and future postural problems."
